Alison Major Catch Up Day 22-28! February 25-March 2

I will begin with, it has been a very busy time with house guests in town. We hosted Art for about 10 days and Bernie and Durelle arrived on February 28 till March 6th. IE I have a great excuse for not having time to blog! Family and Friends should be enjoyed in the moment and talked/blogged about later. The day to day of Yelapa is pretty much the same for me beach, beach and beach!
Anson works on the water taxi at least once and sometimes twice a day and loves it. All the locals know him in town and chat with him. His water taxi nickname is Colorado and his Rosewood Gallery nickname is Woodpecker. He prefers Colorado lol. Griffin is learning to adjust to hearing "Oh you are Anson's/Colorado's Brother? " He has just immersed himself into the local culture and daily hangs with the local kids usually Aldito and Ricardo are in the mix. Yesterday the surf was incredible and the River white water too so bunches of kids came down to the beach and hung 10! Anson went night shrimping with Aldo's family last night and had a blast. Also built a spear and Ricardo taught him how to spear fish. I am never surprised at who he knows and how they have been impressed with who he is as a person. He is so out going and interactive. Turning blonder by the day too.
Griffin is most definitely focused on paragliding and is doing better than most adults. I guess that over 100 tandem flights with your stepdad/instructor make for a great lead into the sport. He is showing great maturity in his decisions and when he doesn't he admits cockiness and thoughtlessness instead of some BS excuse. His relationships with the pilots is one of respect and I think they love the idea that he is starting so young and developing skills this early. He is patient for the most part and listens with intent and then executes the theory beautifully.
Spanish is improving and being worked on by all of us for the most part. The exchange with the locals who want to learn English too is the most effective. As father Garcia called it it's a 2 way street they learn and I learn.

Day 28 Friday March 2nd
Art left in the AM after a Pancake, Eggs and bacon Breakfast thanks to the team of John on Pancakes-Durelle on Bacon-Bernie on Mixing eggs and pancakes- it was delicious and sad!
Art caught the 9:30 at the Pier and was off back to a snowy Colorado. The 10 days he was here Breck got over 25 inches that he didn't have to shovel. Art was a great houseguest and loved the flying and life in Yelapa. He and the boys played cards and even went out on the town of couple of times to party. I hope he feels like we are all family and knows we love him very much.
